Welcome to Univertive Folio ("we," "our," "us," or "Folio"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Folio platform and services. Folio is a product of Univertive, founded by Wishva Dinesha, and based in Sri Lanka. By creating an account or using our platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Account Creation & Mandatory Username Claiming

To use Folio, you must register for an account and claim a unique username. Your username forms the permanent, public URL for your portfolio (e.g., `folio.univertive.com/@yourname`). You agree to provide accurate information and safeguard your account credentials. You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

2. Username Protection & Anti-Squatting Clause

Univertive Folio enforces strict username claiming rules to maintain platform integrity. We reserve the absolute right to reclaim, suspend, or reassign usernames that are registered in bad faith, for the purpose of squatting, resale, or impersonation of established brands, trademarks, or high-profile entities without their explicit consent.

3. Symbol Phase-Out Clause

Currently, all user profiles are accessed using the mandatory `@` prefix in handles and URLs. However, Univertive Folio reserves the right to phase out and completely remove the mandatory `@` prefix from user handles and URLs once the active user base scales significantly. Users will be notified in advance if URL structures are simplified, and existing portfolio links will be managed to prevent broken access.

Community Guidelines

Folio is a platform for creative professionals. To maintain a positive environment, all users must adhere to the following:

• Be Respectful: Treat all users with courtesy. Harassment, bullying, or hate speech will not be tolerated.
• Original Content Only: Only upload work you created or have explicit permission to share. Always credit collaborators.
• No Spam or Misleading Practices: Do not artificially inflate engagement or use the platform primarily for unsolicited commercial promotion.
• Keep Content Appropriate: Do not upload explicit, illegal, violent, or highly offensive material.
• Professional Conduct: Provide constructive feedback and honor commitments made to clients or collaborators through the platform.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use Folio to:

• Infringe upon any intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of others.
• Distribute malware, viruses, or engage in phishing/fraudulent activities.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Folio systems or other user accounts.
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access content without our permission.

5. Intellectual Property & Content Ownership

You retain all copyrights and intellectual property rights to the designs, case studies, and assets you upload ("User Content"). By uploading, you grant Univertive Folio a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, host, and promote these materials on the platform and in official Folio promotional materials (e.g., featured galleries, social media).

6. Limitation of Liability

FOLIO IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, UNIVERTIVE, ITS FOUNDER, EMPLOYEES, OR AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA OR REVENUE.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising out of these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
